The 3rd Annual “Build It For The Children Charity House” was
auctioned September 29, 2007. The house was built under the
Universal Design/Build Green concept.

The house was appraised at $640K and was sold for
$530K. The proceeds earned A Kid’s Place and Larimer County
Child Advocacy Center $91,125 each! Thank You to
everyone whose huge efforts made this possible!!

Gwen Schooley
Our new Executive Director
Gwen Schooley has worked with
children and families at Child Advocacy Resource and Education (c.a.r.e.),
since 1988. The last ten years at c.a.r.e have been as
Executive Director.
She holds a Master's degree in Agency Counseling with an
emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of
Northern Colorado.
She has been active in the Weld County community, serving
on the Coalition for Children, Youth and Families, and Promises
for Children Committees. While at c.a.r.e., she was
instrumental in the start-up of careHouse: Supervised Visitation
and Safe Exchanges Center, Parents Anonymous® of Weld Count, and
the Fatherhood Initiative.
She and her husband Greg have proudly raised a blended
family of 8 children and two grandchildren.

non-duplication of services, to make appropriate referrals, to
